Airsoft version 2 tappet plate?
So recently, one of my guns stopped functionally correctly. The trigger would be difficult to pull but when you pulled on it hard enough it would only shoot on full auto, even on semi. Since i was at my local airsoft field when this happened, i brought it up to the front desk where the tech guys are. They said it might be the tappet plate so i left it there for them to fix it. Even thought they’re going to fix it, i’m just curious on what the tappet plate is and the function in a version 2 gearbox. (I’m not a tech guy and am not very familiar with this kind of stuff)

That tappet plate moves the gearbox nozzle forwards and backwards in time with the gears and piston stroke.. It pulls it back to allow a BB to be chambered, and forwards to get a good seal on the hop rubber.

It’s the black yoke being pushed back by the spur gear (the one which pulls the piston also).
