Green Gas Airsoft Guns
Has anyone mixed their own Green gas for Airsoft guns.?
I believe they take propane and silicon to do this. Why is Green gas so difficult to find in a store? These airsoft guns aren’t nearly as dangerous as a BB gun. They don’t even hurt when you get hit with one and they do not break windows like a BB gun. I don’t know why they make it difficult to get the gas for them.
You’re right about propane and GreenGas being basically the same, the only difference is the additives.
Camping and plumbing propane cans are safer to store because they comply with a separate set of regulations. Many stores no longer carry GreenGas because the cans aren’t particularly safe.
Airsoft innovations makes a very good adapter for standard propane bottles, they also sell silicone oil.
If you are going to start using propane I recommend getting it from a hardware store. The plumbing propane doesn’t smell quite as bad as camping propane in my opinion. The actual gas is the same, propane itself has barely any odor, a scent is added to it so you can easily tell when it is leaking.
Remember, whatever it is you end up using, don’t use it indoors. Aside from being very flammable, propane isn’t particularly good to inhale.
