Is the M249 SAW good for airsoft tournaments?
for 5 months Ive been playing airsoft tournaments every week, Ive been thinking about getting a new rifle, and what i really want is an M249 SAW.
I really like this weapon but now Ive been having second thoughts, mostly because my squad members keep on saying things like : its hard to fix, or ; it’ll break soon. also they would recommend an M4. problem is I ALL READY HAVE ONE AND SO DOES EVERYONE ELSE IN THE FIELD, and because i saved up a lot this year I’m all set to order one, but i dunno if i should if it really does break frequently and is almost impossible to repair.
also i don’t care about the heavy weight,
the almost unlimited ammo and firing capacity makes it worth it.
anyone know if the M249 SAW is capable for tournaments?
The SAW is a good gun but it is expensive. If your gonna get one i would reccomend the ECHO 1. It is not the best gun for fast paced tourneys, you might not think you care about the weight now, but you will if you get flanked and have to get the h*** out of there. What i would reccomend is a good AK-47 with high power and rof (which shouldn’t be to hard if you can afford a SAW) and put a good box or C class magazine (they can get up there in capacity) on it the only reason i would reccomend a SAW is if you LOVE them, can afford it, and are only going to camp/support. Again take into consideration the AK or even stick with your M4 and put a nice big magazine on it.
