Airsoft Tracer Unit Review
What is a good hop up unit for my m4 airsoft gun?
I have a JG m4 s-system. I am currently unsatisfied with it’s range and accuracy. Would a new hop up system give me range and accuracy? The hop up system I was looking at was the Mad Bull Complete Hop Up System. But after looking at many reviews people say it doesn’t do much and you should only get it if you want to use its tracer capabilities which I don’t. What is a good hop up unit that will give me better performance?
By far the best hop-up unit is the Tokyo Marui. There’s a reason the majority of airsoft items on the market are cloned from TM.
You’ll also want a new bucking a nub. The SystemA bucking tends to be the favorite among the community. It provides a food air seal which helps give you a bit more range as well as will increase your velocity by about 10FPS. The nub is really up to you depending how you use your weapon. I personally prefer the Madbull fishbone nub; it prevents double feeding.
I don’t understand why the hop-up and tracer need to be compatible, they’re on different ends of the weapon and don’t rely on each other AT ALL. It’s like saying the type of gas you put in your car determines how bright your lights shine. The problem is probably players installing the hop-up parts improperly, or tearing the bucking during installation.
Keep in mind that often a broken piston will have horrible effects on your range, so you might want to check that out alto.

Keep in mind it’s not really made for a really high rate of fire weapon. It’ll handle a high rate of fire, but wear out quicker.
