can i spray my airsoft white?
hi i love playing airsoft and im in the uk. i dont go to club organastion or anything..me and my best buddies just love playing in the woods and tall grasses. i have a double eagle m4 airsoft gun which is green since to the new rule.. does all the airsoft have to be green, orange and see through? because those colours are a bit rubbish. i no i cant paint it in black. so will it be ok to spray it white.. is it allowed? if police see u with an black airsoft gun with an orange thing where it shoots (i cant explain it ) do they take them away from u???/

White isn’t on the prescribed list of colours as laid down in the Violent Crimes Reduction Act so no, you can’t.
If the police see you carrying ANY colour of airsoft gun in public you’re likely to be arrested and charged under the antisocial behaviour act for brandishing an imitation firearm in public.
I strongly recommend that you go along to an organised airsoft site and stop playing in public off your own bat. At a site you’ll meet lots of new players, get involved in a much wider range of games and play with a whole lot more people. Plus, once you’re a legitimate airsoft skirmisher, you can buy realistic looking guns (providing you’re over 18) and do away with all the two tones rubbish.
If you are going to continue to play on your own, you need to be playing on privately owned land, with the owner’s permission, and out of the view of the public. Doing anything less can land you in trouble with the police.
The last thing the UK airsoft community needs is more bad press as airsofters get shot by armed police while playing somewhere they shouldn’t be. Our legal position is shaky enough as it is.
