Airsoft Nozzle Problems
What is the thin spring in the airsoft v7 gearbox for?
I opened up my M14 today and got down to the gearbox. I tried opening it slowly like my guide said but instead it poped open making the pieces fly everywhere. I found all the pieces (I think) and put them back in on one side however I still have a long thin spring that I can’t find a spot for. I am pretty sure it’s purpose is to push the plastic pieces that pulls the nozzle back so it returns to the position after the pin on the gear has finished a rotation.
Also does anyone have any tips about putting the 2 halves of the gear box back together? It I have problems getting all the pieces to go in the right holes. Is there anything I should do before I put it back together as far as general care such as greasing it?
It it easier if you have an aftermarket spring guide you can slide a screwqdriver through.
I am thinking that long spring holds the plastic plate foward but I havent taken one apart in a few months so I could be thinking V3. Does it have rings on the end of the spring or it just a long spring? Go ahead and email me. Mine had a lot of springs on the outside too. I was wishing I had never taken it apart but now I can do it in about an hour.
I was thinking V3. I think you are right, there is a long spring that pushes the nozzle forward. Make sure you have one there. If it is missing then that is it. Go to mechbox.com. They have a V2 and V3 guide that will give you a few pointers.
