Airsoft Kids Gloves
Parents only! Do you think it is wrong to have a kid have an airsoft gun and play airsoft wars?
My dad says it is wrong for me to have an airsoft gun. My friends all have airsoft guns and even before I knew thye had airsoft guns, I wanted one. I am 13 going on 14 in a couple months. Ive never shot anything at all. Not even a cap gun.
I don’t want to use the gun to hurt people, I want to use it for airsoft wars. I know the safety precautions too. Goggles (or full face protectors), chest protector or heavy clothing and gloves.
Do you think it is wrong for me to get an airsoft gun? Or is my dad being way too overprotective about it?
Notes about me: Im a straight A student, very responsible and have never gotten in horrible trouble in my entire life. No fights at all.
Im only going to use the airsoft gun for airsoft wars at my friends house or at a course that is set up.
Im not a parent but I know how you feel, Im just like you. Straight A’s, responsible and my parents were very reluctant to let me have an airsoft gun. When I first became interested in airsoft, I asked my parents if I could buy an airsoft gun. They immediately voiced their concern and refused. I went on and on about it and no matter how many facts about how safe they are i showed them, they still refused. Eventually I gave up and forgot about it………. for a little while. I managed to come up with a chain of events I would carry out, slowly but surely, that would lead to them letting me buy one. I wont go into detail but it worked! I bought my first airsoft pistol, the KJW (beretta) M9A1 semi auto! Now, 1 year later, my parents are playing too! I now have a small collection of airsoft pistols and rifles that I use on a regular basis. The key, my friend, is strategy and time. When you bring up airsoft to your parents, they will immediately think of you getting hurt, something happening to you, basically all the bad things that MIGHT happen. They dont see all the good things that come with airsoft. The trick is to show them all the good things and even get them to talk to your friends parents, they might shed some light on the best sport out there……. Airsoft!
