Airsoft Helmet And Goggles
MY father wolt let me play airsoft?
Ok heres the lowdown my dad (who is a veteran)tells me “you cant play airsoft. its too dangerous!” He dosent trust me with anything. He first got me an airsoft gun for my 6th birthday when afterward he hid it and said it wasent appropriate for 6 year olds(witch I agree with) when I was 10 he gave my brother the airsoft gun for his twelfth birthday(after he took it from me!!).When my brother was 13 my dad saw the airsoft gun and took it away!!! but now that were in a boyscout troop(which he sighed me and my brother up for) he gave it back for target practice so we could get the rifle merit badge(airsoft dosent work very well for real gun practice)but i decided to get the DE M56DL(the multishot long barral shotgun) then all i got is he saying that i cant do any airsoft games cause its too dangerous (even if were wearing helmets,goggle,neckgaurds ect.)
HELP!!!!
Well the question is do you do any other sports or activities, Base ball, hockey, football, tennis, golf, volleyball, bowling, fishing, boating? If you said yes to any of those well them try not to laugh to hard when you tell you dad this little bit of information. while I can not give you the statistics for airsoft, I can give you the ones for paintball which most people consider to be more dangerous that airsoft. Every one of those sports or activities that I listed has had more injuries per 1000 people than paintball….yes even golf is more dangerous that paintball.

I my self have been playing for over 12 years, I started when I was 13 actually and have never been injured playing the sport. In fact I have never even seen anyone injured as a direct resault from and airsoft gun, I have seen people trip, fall and break a bone, but lets face facts, I’ve seen people just walking down the sidewalk do that. And just to head off your fathers next augment that I most likely just play small games, in my back yard so I really don’t know anything…..no, on so many levels no, my airsoft team, dose not practice with less than 20 people, and we have been to over 25 large scale Ops(that’s what we call big events) that were over 500 players.
