Airsoft Goggles Fog
Me and my friends are having an airsoft war this weekend, but…?
My friend has a new gun that’s 400 fps, but we’re doing it at night, so I can’t use my normal goggles, they fog up. Do you think I would be ok using Gordon ski goggles during the war where I may get shot at with a 400 fps gun? Or will it go through?
Yes, 400 FPS IS SOMETHING TO WORRY ABOUT! Please DO NOT use ski goggles! They are not rated for airsoft! If your friend hits you in those… not good. You only have one set of eyes. Trust me, I know quite a bit about airsoft. Protect yourself.
May I suggest using an anti-for method on your regular goggles? Put a dime-sized amount of dish soap on each side of the lens (on the inside). Spread it around the inside of the goggles. Let it sit for at least 5 minutes. Then, wipe most of it off with a clean rag, but not all of it. Then, your goggles wont fog!
And may I also suggest getting some cheap, fog proof goggles that can withstand… A LOT of force (over 550 FPS point blank!) — Arena Flakjaks. Get em from www.goggleoverstock.com — they’re legit.
