Airsoft Gearbox Lubrication
How do I lubricate an airsoft gearbox?
I have V7 gearbox from a UTG M14. I opened it up to fix it and now I am ready to put it back together however I think that I should add more lubrication to the gearbox since some of it came out. What do I use to grease it and how do I do it. I don’t have any airsoft stores in my area so I want to buy it from a hardware store, gun shop or auto supply store.
Also, can use gun oil to lube the exterior parts of the gearbox/gun?
im not sure. you will have to completely dissassemble the gun to get to the gearbox, sooo. you will have to disassemble the gun again mate, sorry. you have to lube all the cogs you can see and the bits they touch. when it gets moving again it will spread the lube about the gearbox into the needed places.
