Airsoft Gearbox Grease
why does my airsoft gun shoot automatic in semi ?
I have a classic army m16a4 sportline and i opened the gearbox just to see how to upgrade it. i re greased all of the gears using a small amount of grease shimmed all of the gears correctly and timed it correctly. it shoots great but for some reason it only shoots automatic even when it is in semi. how can i fix this? it isnt the selector switch im pretty shure it has something to do with the wires or selector plate but i will try anything you guys think the problem might be.
you may have bumped something out of alignment when you opened it up
if your not sure what you did you might need to take it in to get it repaired
is it shooting only when you pull the trigger and stops when you release it or does it empty your magazine regardless
unless its chewing up your ammo supply simply squeeze the trigger
and let out a short burst
it might be that when you shimmed everything a slightly worn spot on the carrier is letting the feed cycle repeatedly and not catching while in “semi” mode
