Can I sue someone on a trade for airsoft gun when he provided me false description?
So I traded a guy on an airsoft forum. I live in Central California and he lives in CA as well. My gun is worth $200 and I sold it for $200. We met in person and such. When I got home I opened the gun and it had minor small descriptions that he didn’t tell me the wires are cut and motor was burned(I have a spare so this doesn’t really matter). So can I use a claim suit on him or anything? I don’t know his name or address, but he has done several trades and the people on the forum know his address cause they shipped it to him. Is it legal to get his address through another member without his permission? Also the gun was in used condition so can he use that as an excuse for the wires being cut? The gun is in working condition. He won’t provide me a refund.
Couldn’t be more than $40 to replace the motor and wiring. Just chalk it up to experience, and perhaps let the airsoft forum be aware of his true reputation.
