Jing Gong or Cybergun?
I am deciding between 2 airsoft guns, and AUG and a FAMAS.
Both are pretty much the same, but the FAMAS costs a bit more and is a slightly higher FPS.
The AUG is from Jing Gong, which I’ve heard mixed reviews about, while the FAMAS is from Cybergun, which I’ve heard some bad reviews of, although I have a spring FAMAS from Cybergun, and that thing has been put through a lot of stuff, yet still shoots fairly decent, and has held together fairly well.
Which brand is more reliable?
Note: Don’t give me any biased answers saying that the AUG looks cooler, I want to know which gun will last longer and perform better.
Also I personally prefer the FAMAS’s design way over the AUG’s
To be honest, it depends how much of a risk you’re willing to take.
With JG, you’re more or less guaranteed to have the odd problem here or there. The hop up will be a bit dodgy and may need replacing, the sights will get wobbly over time, and the fuse will blow every now and then.
On the other hand, cybergun guns are either perfect or a disaster. None of the little niggles, but the motor shaft may unexpectedly decide to snap, or your gears may just pop loose.
JG will perform slightly better than the cybergun.
Personally, I’d go for the JG. You mentioned FAMAS costs a bit more, so I’d use the cash you’ve got left over to buy a red dot and a new hop rubber for the JG (+ a tightbore barrel if you’ve got the cash). These bits are all easily installable with no prior experience so no worries there, and it fixes more or less all the little problems with the JG.
