what should i do for my 2nd airsoft gun?
i already have an m14 ebr at 400fps, so i’m looking for a lighter, easyer to handle gun. i’m thinking to do either
1) buy a boneyard thompson with metal gearbox, fix it up, and custom make out of wood the stock, grip, and handguard.
2) Get an m4 or m4 cqb and make it my own. i was kind of steering away from this because of the commoness of the m4.
3) get a ARES/H&K g36c, put in the m4 magwell, put on a retractable/folding stock.
4) get a tm famas, mod what parts i can get to fit and get someone to custom make me a metal body. this can be expensive though =(
5) Get a good quality AK-47 and upgrade what i can and make wooden parts for it.
what do you think i should do? i want this to be a good learning project, as well as a good gun that i can use for cqb. (EBR’s don’t handle cqb well…..)

i hear you about getting something that everyone else has (m4). i believe the best choice out of the list is probably 1, but i wouldnt trust boneyards. many people do not give a full detailed description of the product. i have a couple suggestions…
If you have enough money, i would suggest looking into the DBoys PDW Rifle. Its surprisingly not well known, but it gets the job done. I don’t have a link at the moment, but simply google it, and you could take a look. I believe its usually in the $225 – $250 range
If you are on a tight budget, i would suggest getting the JG MP5A5. I know, your probably thinking “NO!, its a chinese clone!” However, with a good shimjob and possibly a better battery, it actually turns into a formidable weapon. Its usually $115, usually coming with the battery and charger.
