How to make an AK-47 airsoft gun gold?
i was wondering how would i paint my ak-47 airsoft gun gold and make it really shiny too

For the best paint job, do the following things:
Start by taking off your stock by simply unscrewing the 3 screws, and unplugging the connector. Take off the pistol grip by unscrewing the bottom screw, and it should come right off. Not like an m4 where you have to mess with the motor to take a pistol grip off.
I found it was very difficult and just easier if you just tape the handguard so that you don’t get paint on it, instead of finding how to take it off the gun. At this point you will not have to worry about having gold paint on your stock, handguard, or pistol grip. (unless you want it all gold but I would reccomend keeping the wood/or ris parts normal colored.
Start by taking off the top metal dust cover or whatever, press the button and the whole metal top thing comes off, and paint that separatetly.
Optional: Unscrew trigger guard and take it off and paint it separately too. Doing these things just makes the paint easier and better and nicer.
I kept my waffle mag black, but painted the metal normal one gold. Just make sure you don’t get paint on the inside.
Tip: When you paint the gun, have a friend or brother hold it wile you paint it, cus it makes it like 80% easier, and try to avoid getting paint in the internals of the gun.
When the top dust cover is dry, put it back on the gun, and then you may start painting the rest of the gun. I started with the front of the gun.(like the front outter barrel, iron sight, and threads)
Tip:do one part of the gun at a time, and let it dry before you move on, at least as muc as possible
Tip: Hold the can about 8 to 12 inches from the gun so you get a beautiful even coat. You can always put more on the gun, but if you get big ugly globs from holding it to close, it is very hard to fix
Then, paint the rest of the body, the whole rear sight, the charging handle, the selector swittch, and the under side of the gun, and the trigger. try not to paint too much inside of the magwell because you don’t want to get it into the gun, and you don’t see it when a mag is in anyway.
Tip:make sure to move the selector switch, so you get the whole gun so you don’t have a big black spot wheere the switch was when you painted.
Then maybe put one last light coat on the whole gun again so that it is all even and beautiful.
Last, Once dried, reassemble the stock, handguard, and pistol grip, and if you do a decent job, you will be very happy.
WARNING:If you use a golden ak-47 in an airsoft woodland game, it is like using an ak made of orange tips lol.(doesn’t blend too well)
