How can I increase the FPS and the range on my airsoft gun?
ok I have an AK 47 Kalashnikov airsoft gun and it shots approx. 350 FPS. And i would like to increase it by at least 40-50 FPS. And i would also like to increase the range on my gun, and i just wanted to know what parts i needed, what the parts are called, how much will everything cost, etc. So if you could please help me i would really appreciate it. Thank you.
alright, this shouldn’t be too hard.
to increase your fps and range, you would have to install an inner barrel and a new spring. the inner barrel is where the bb passes through on it’s way out of the gun. This inner barrel http://www.airsoftpost.com/product_info.php?cPath=24_72_375&products_id=24374
is the right legnth for your gun and will improve range, accuracy, and fps slightly. to increase fps more, you will need a new spring. since your gun shoots 350, i am pretty sure it is probably cyma, jg, or echo 1 so you should already have metal bushings. i just saved you money. warning, changing the spring can be a pain in the uhh butt. you have to take apart the gearbox of the gun as shown here

(in the gearbox work section, you’ll need gearbox grease http://www.airsoftpost.com/product_info.php?products_id=31419 that is what i use. also, when he puts the spring back in, you’ll just have to swap it out for your new one.)

The spring you’ll want is around a m120. m120 along with the inner barrel will give you around 415-430 fps with .2 bb’s.

the springs will shoot a little higher than advertized at first, but will later with use settle down a little. around 20 fps, so no worries if they shoot hot at first.
